My Cat Of Ebony
Delving and diving between
The freshly cut branches
Of the Laurel tree
She is looking at me now
There's a bond of love
Being sealed by the two of us
This gift of love has come about because the lost branches
Of the Laurel tree
have allowed the light
To frame and pierce
Through my kitchen window
Thereby allowing
My Cat Of Ebony and Me
To meet face to face
See eye to eye
Greet each other heart heart
In silence and mutual communication
