Balancing The Brew

It's cold out there!
I can tell you that for free
I was just about to put the kettle on
If you have no other plan
A cup of tea would be grand
Hot h2o in kettle and in hand

I brew the tea and leave it to stand
For one minute or two
It will stew
Next I'll get the mugs sugar and milk
To colour flavour and sweeten
The silky nectar or perhaps
You take yours black

Mugs in hand we sit and sip
The refreshing combination
That's the great British tradition
